What is the difference between regular and organic cotton?
Regular cotton
Consumes a lot of water. According to WWF, producing just one kilogram of cotton takes 7-29 thousand liters of water.
Use of harmful chemicals.Most cotton seeds are genetically modified.
The process of bleaching with the use of chlorine, the process of dyeing with dyes containing sulfur and heavy metals, soaking fabrics in formaldehyde.
Women and kids labor is often used in cotton production which is really harmful.
Our organic cotton
Organic cotton is watered mainly by rainwater or groundwater.
No chemical treatment, only natural materials are used as a fertilizer.
Organic cotton is GMO free.
Manual weeds removal. Pests control is also manual using aromatic mixtures of chili, soap and garlic.
Harvesting by hand with use of any special equipment in order not to accidentally pick up unripe cotton balls.
Our fabrics are GOTS certified. It means, that the whole production process is under control, so the material is 100% organic.
